So it's official. I'm taking my abulelita to celebrate her 85th Birthday @ Disneyland. Everyone's been telling me to get her a wheelchair, but i think she'll be okay. I hope she doesn't get too tired by 2 cause that's when we decorate a cake. :)) ugh i wish my camera wasn't broken... but Sedonah will probably bring hers & I gotta bring my photopass. I GOTTA. ^^

Must Do's 4 me. ^^

Here are some things I HAVE TO DO when I go to Disneyland,Or at least try to do.

8(:-D)

1.) As soon as I enter those gates... PHOTOPASS! ^^ My favorite is Veronica. ((I've noticed passholders have their selected favorites, nothing personal... or maybe it is. All in good fun. lol ))

2.) Walk swiftly to City Hall & get my button. Every day is a celebration. :] I always act like it's my first time using my pass, so i get a bit giddy inside. ^^

3.) Soak in Main Street. you soakin' yet? XD

4.) Fastpass for Indy, then pirates, mansion & if i have extra time to kill before my next fastpass, go have a Pooh adventure. :] Grab a Splash mtn FP & look into the temple of the forbidden eye. I'm still trying to find the hidden Mickey on that ride with the skeleton guy wearing a Mickey hat... So if anyone knows, holla. It's really bugging me that I can't find it, if it's even there... lol

5.) If i haven't been on Jungle cruise or seen Tiki in a while i will. Thunder mtn next. I look in my Hidden Mickey book to see if i can find any new ones or take a look at ones i haven't seen in a while. Grab a FP for Space mtn & go on Buzz while we're waiting for Splash. After splash it's typically lunch time... If I'm not celebrating a birthday my sister & I like eating at the Golden Horseshoe. That's our hangout. Before going inside I make an effort to purchase my mint julep, naturally. :] Usually we like to see the Billy show, so we'll try to grab a bite to eat when the show's aboot to start. After lunch you rest your food & chill at Fantasyland a bit. Nemo next, then jump on Space mtn.

6.) The things I HAVE to do at DCA: ((other than visiting my PhotoPass opportunities)) Tower, Screamin, toy story and if it's playing that day Aladdin. I never miss an opprtunity to see my Orndorf & Statler and see my Sweedish chef reek havoc. BORT! BORT! BORT! :] ))

7.) Anamation studio next. I also like taking the quiz on which Disney character I am. Last time I checked I was Nala. :] Acting and singing is also important in my life, and i feel if i have time to do it, i must.

8.) I might tear up a bit when my Corn Dog Castle finally reopens. I miss it so. lol

9.) If I have time for anything else i'll fill it in as i go along.

10.) Depending on what time i have to be home by or how tired i am I like catching a show i havent seen in a while. So if i wanna see Dumbo i'll wach Magical. Lately i've really wanted to see The Electrical parade since the last couple times i've attempted to watch something always comes up. Fantasmic never disappoints... unless I look forward to see that damn dragon. I stopped getting my hopes up when I know the dragon comes out. When it does i think i'll cry out of happiness that finally that shit is working. lol

I think the beauty of having a Premium annual pass is you can do WHATEVERR YOU LIIIIIIIIKE. Psh. But for serious, you can always mix it up, depending on what you wanna do that day. You have no limits, except the time you have to be back at skoo/home/work. lol One time all I did was character meet & greets & sight seeing stuff and did not go on a single ride, and it was soo much fun. So if you think 389 for a premium pass is full of shit... it's definitely not. You get your discounts, your Disney mags & e-mails, you feel empowered. I do. lol So if you're thinking about purchasing one, do it... you'll be glad you did.

Hopper Visit MUST DO's.

I had read once in a blog about the things you MUST do when visiting Disneyland. While reading her pg it made me go a bit of :] and :\ . Her list seemed to me like if you have a multi-day hopper pass that it would be okay. So what my list is going to consist of is a list of things to do if you do have a multi day hopper pass and a day for a one day hopper.

Here are some things you HAVE TO DO when you go to Disneyland,but only if you have a one day hopper.

8(:-D)

1.) If you want to know a lot about the Disneyland Resort but don't want too much info that you've become annoyed by it, invite a friend who's got a pass. lol I mean seriously, they go a LOT more times than you do AND speaking personally every time I visit I ALWAYS learn something new. For example, finding hidden Mickeys! Those are a fucking blast to find, especially those fuckers that took u over a month to find. ^^ Also, passholders know ther way around showtimes and fastpass and other inside shitz you'd never would've known on your 672nd visit there. I guess it all depends on what kind of day you'd like to have... But it's highly recommended.

2.) Quick tidbit- Character dining. I feel if you're only going to be there for one day it's a must. Have your party the night before brainstorm weather they want to splurge on breakfast or lunch. I didn't mention dinner cause if you do have a meal during breakfast or lunch you're done for the day. lol With Breakfast i'm ALWAYS full the entire day, and lunch is the same deal. If you have a pass it's nifty discount, so if you don't have a pass invite an annual passholder so you can smooch on their 10-15% discount. :] There's lots of themed breakfasts/lunches like a Lilo & Stitch luau or a wilderness treat with Chip & Dale. both breakfasts are located outside of the park. Minnie & Friends can be located inside the park & is great for meeting all your favorite characters. Even though it can be pricey ((25-50 bucks a pop)) the memories will last forever, and so will that fullness feeling. I like it cause it's a buffet, so stay there till you know you had your monayz worth. If you feel like being apart of a western themed environmment there's the Celebration Roundup, which comes with an all you care to eat entree with Ribs, chicken, corn, beans etc.It even comes with a yummy dessert. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

3.) As soon as I enter those gates... PHOTOPASS! ^^ A photopass is a really awesome thing where photographers at the Disneyland Resort take your picture and add a bit of that Disney magic. You can purchase it for a fee at the store or look at it & buy it at home. As for me, I have my own “system” of getting those pics. ((e-mail me if u wana know. ^^)) Go to City Hall. This year is the year of celebration, so naturally everyone at Disneyland will ask... What are you celebrating? Get a button for it! Weather it's a birthday, anniversary, just married/graduated, or just want to be an honorary citizen they have it! Even if you don't have the exact button you're looking for they have a button that says “I'm celebrating!” Plus it's free, so why not get one?

4.) Waft in Main Street USA. Smell the popcorn making, those damn basterds secretly blowing the scent of ice cream at the Carnation Cafe'... That theater that ALWAYS has “Now showing: Steamboat Willie!” is actually a little exhibit. go in. It's nifty. Walk slowly. Retards w/strollers have this habit of running over a shoe or two while trying to get their child on the Dumbo ride/ Fantasyland. But for a few mins... take a look around... but don't shop till you're going home... unless you like carrying that huge plush all day.

5.) I don't know if it's b/c i've gone to disneyland 100+ times this year alone, but i think starting at Adventureland has always been the best bet. First things first though... GET AN INDY FASTPASS. I honestly don't think it's worth waiting 30 mins for... just go back on at your specific time. PIRATES IS A MUST. Does not matter if the only words you know in the song is “yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me... blah blah blah blah...” It's fun. go on. Haunted Mansion next. I regret not going to that darn ride till i was 18 ((for reals, no one told me it wasn't scary, it just sounded scary to me, lol)) but it is indeed fun. By that time u should be able to get a Fastpass for Splash Mtn. As for jungle cruise, it's always nice to hear a crappy joke every once & a while, but not a must. While you're around New Orleans Square spend $3.25 for a Mint Julep, bloody brilliant.

6.) When going to Disneyland you MUST visit all Mountains... Splash, Thunder, and Space. A MUST. I don't think Splash & Space are worth waiting foor in line, unless you're a hidden Mickey finder... Get a bloody fastpass. Also, hit the Matterhorn bobsleds. Fun.

7.) Wait for Nemo. Wait for Nemo. Wait for Nemo. WAIT FOR NEMO. K thanks.

8.) Go into Fantasyland early in the morning if you really really really REALLY want to. Lately I've just been going on the rides that are the shortest or just pick my fav movie ride there. And that's the beauty of having a pass, not worrying & having to cram every bloody thing. But you only have a one day hopper, so choose wisely.

9.) Walk to the Sleeping Beauty Castle before you leave. I don't care how many times you'e taken a pic there, but you can NEVER take too many Disney pics there. :] One thing I really liked about Nat's blog was “Get really excited when you see Sleeping Beauty's Castle. Jump up and down and say "I'm at Disneyland!" I mean, soak it in, dammit.” For reals. You only live once, and who knows when you'll visit again. Oh & if it's not your b-day but you want to meet Mickey, go to his house. He dresses up in 4 different costumes for you, but you'll never know which one he'll pick when he meets you. 8(:-D

10.) California Adventure: You won't need just as much time to see a junkload of things, but this park is just as important. If Aladdin the musical is showing that day, WATCH IT. The Genie makes you glad you did. It all depends on what type of day it is, but if Tower of Terror looks empty, go on. I like waiting till it's sundown so it looks scary. :]

11.) Walk into the Animation studio. If you have time to go into all the rooms i highly suggest you do, but if you don't, draw a character! This is the best free souvenior there. After go on Soarin' & if it's hot enough get a FP for GRR, that's another ride not worth waiting 65 mins for.

12.) They just started doing construction on their new Symphony Swings, which is taking place of the orange swings. Other than that, Ferris Wheel, Toy Story Mania, Cali Screamin', all worth it. I really miss my Corn Dog Castle, but they still have em behind the PT Flea Market, highly reccommended especially if you're on a budget. Very filling.

13.) If you have time stop at Muppet Vision. It's a good 20+ min rest. Lastly, go on Monster's Inc. if it's less than 20 mins, unless you really love that movie, enjoy your trip to Montropolis. Also, if you want to have a minor panic attack, watch “It's Tough to be a Bug!” at Bug's land. hahaha The rest of the time you have go back & do the things you kinda sorta wanted to do but you told yourself “we'll go back when we have time...” If you have time go buck wild. ;]

14.) Fantasmic > Electrical Parade > Magical. Choose wisely what you want to watch at night. Everything is packed like a mofo & if you feel like fireworks I highly suggest Fantasmic! Fantasmic's got a water show plus a mini Mickey adventure plus characters galore. Magical's got a real Tinkerbelle & real Dumbo, but it's only a 30 second cameo... then perdy fireworks. I think it's worth seeing once. lol So if you just want to see fireworks, see Magical.


Even though it seems like a little, it's all packed with an awesome Disneyland Resort adventure. 8(:-D)

Acceptance. At Last.

Dear journal, A few minutes ago I realized something. Something so great I realized I should write. I started to think about the meaning of friendship. Friends. Pals. Homies. I started thinking of the ones I have now... The ones I used to know. The ones I love and loved. The ones I thought were retarded at first, but ended with a wonderful friendship. I started thinking about my high school friends. Thinking about the memories we made, especially in high school... and the pact we made to always be friends no matter what.

Then graduation came. We remained our normal selves; our gang was as great as ever. Years passed. We start drifting. My brother told me this was going to happen. I didn't believe him. I didn't want to. Once you stop hanging out with friends you used to know, used to love, somehow it slowly fades, even though you would've never seen it coming. Then, school comes, work comes, boyriends come... and sometimes too soon. ^^ Then we have cancellations of hang outs, or cutting a day short to study or work. You call your friend, see how they're doing. But they don't answer... voicemails are the future. You hope they call back soon. They don't. Little by little you start losing hope, losing confidence that they'll want to hang out, have fun and make more memories. But alas, nothing.

Then you notice they're hanging out w/o you. It's been days, weeks, even months since you've heard anything from them. Then you think... is this it? Am I not going to be a friend to my friend? You try and give effort, but nothing prevails... and... you realize... You've been replaced. You accept, but not at first. You feel bad, left out. Alone. Then you think... is this real... or is this just a ride?

You think to yourself, come to realize, YES, it is just a ride. There are ups and downs, but you learn to overcome them... Some way, some how, you do just that. So you make new friends. Catch up with friends you haven't spoken to... Your heart is slowly healing. You start making more friends, more memories... More trips to the park, dance clubs. New hangouts. New rituals. New traditions. New you.

So now you finally think to yourself, wow, I'm finally happy again. Things have happend for the better in school, you've been promoted at work... new jobs, new year pass at a theme park. Heart is finally healed. But then again, once and a while, you start to think of the friends you used to hang out with. You start to feel sentimental, start to feel bad that you're no longer with the ones you had such fond memories of... And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because it's just a ride."

So I think my whole point of this is
I'm finally over it all.
over the ignorance.
over the rejections.
over it. I finally realized
It's just a ride.

Lakers... I mean Kobe Parade at Disneyland. ^^

So I read on June 16th that The "Lakers and friends" will be at Disneyland for a fun filled parade... Well... Since I found this out I told myself I'd rather go to Dland for Sedonah's b-day and not go see the BIG Lakers parade... Plus, Dland would've been more intimate & whatnot. ^^ So we got to the park as SOON as it opened and waited till 10 to see the parade. While we were waiting I told myself that even if it WAS just Kobe i'd be satisfied. Once I only saw Kobe I said out loud "THAT'S IT?!?!!??" hahaha I even made a poster that said "Sasha, will you ride the matterhorn with me?" But it was just Kobe & I didnt' bother to take it out. Little did I know that he picked a random family and RODE THE DAMN MATTERHORN. UGH! That was supposed to be MY family. hahaha It was fun tho.

Sedonah's b-day

Soo... The Lakers parade was the exact same day as Sedonah's birthday. This was a problem. I had planned weeks on her Disney birthday and my brother and mother were also going to join us. Once the Lakers won I was happy that they were having it on a Tuesday, but instead they had that damn parade on Weds, causing a miniature disaster.

So first we decided we'd all go to the Lakers parade first & then go to Disneyland... no. I had paid things planned in the morning and i KNOW if we go I wouldn't want to leave the place. :\ So I decided to not go altogether, and once my ma found out Sedonah & I weren't going to the Lakers parade she decided she didn't want to go either. So my brother ended up going by himself, and i felt TERRIBLE. Plus I know Sedonah doesn't like basketball, let alone the Lakers, and it's her birthday & I'd be pissed if I had to go somewhere i didn't want to on my birthday. It wasn't MY day, it was hers.

So we went in the morning to Disneyland while Mark went by himself to the Staples Center. He sent me pics & updates about what was happening, so I felt I wasn't missing much. lol So the first thing I had planned for the day was to have lunch at the Celebration Roundup place, which is next to Thunder Mountain. SOOOO YUMMY. All you can eat ribs, chicken, cornbread, beans, cole slaw, & a bunch of other things. If we didn't have our annual pass it would've been expensive as shit. I'm glad we have it tho. Lifesaver. ^^ There were little shows while we were eating and Jessie & Woody would come out & take pics w/us & interact with us. It was cute. Totally worth it.

I didn't realize we were at that Roundup place for an hr & a half, and we were almost late for her birthday party. lol So we were pretty much running from one land to another, hoping we'd make it in time, and it turns out we weren't the only ones that still had to sign in. I did the birthday celebration on my birthday & loved it. It comes with a sippy cup with birthday things on it and you get to decorate your own cake. I had the Lakers on my mind all day, so of course I had to make a Lakers cake. I ended up talking to some random Photopass lady & she's like "Why aren't you at the parade?" I said "It's not my day, it's HERS." : She laughs. What really pissed me off was when she took a TON of pics with my sister and I at her party, so i didn't really take a lot of pics with my camera... cause i figured I could just make it w/cute designs when I get home & check it. THE BITCH DIDN'T SAVE MY PICS. : I was soo mad. So I never got my pics. then again, i haven't checked it since the 17th, so I dunno if I do have those pics... hmm. We'll see.

Overall Sedonah had a wonderful time. She bought an Alice & Wonderland purse with the Disney fun pass she got for her b-day. I wanted that darn purse. lol Ah well. Can't wait to celebrate my nino's b-day Jul 2nd! :]

So about a week or two ago I finally took a drive to Universal Studios & bought our replacement passes. My sister & I had lost them back in November & we thought US were going to send us a plastic pass like they usually do. Apparently their way of "going green" is making only paper annual passes & not take our pics in the park. So no more plastic... which i hate cause I was hoping to get another Terminator print on my card like last year. :\ Ah well.

We went to IMAX after to see when they're going to start the presale on the T4 & the bitch didn't know. : I'm sure they'll have it by Friday. Let's hope. I would LOOOOOVE to watch it there for the midnight showing. :]

So this past Thurs & Fri were pretty fun times. I convinced Tamara to go to Disneyland for her birthday. What made me kinda sad was that she was sad that her birthday was approaching... cause i guess it sucks to be older... :\ Anyway I asked her a week before that we should totally go to disneyland for her birthday. the only minor problem is we both worked that afternoon. We couldn't just take the damn day off... we need the bloody money... so we went before work started. :] We got there as soon as it opened, which was a first time for me & i screamed a little inside when they played corbin bleu's Celebrate you. :-D)

So then by the time we went to work we were dead tired. Well, at least I was. ^^ I wanted to show a movie to the kids soooooooooo bad so that i wont have to do shit. XD

I got a text from Joanna asking if i was going to make a quick stop over at the Food/Wine festival @ Cal. Adv. that friday & i honestly forgot about opening day... even though i was counting down the days that mon. O_o ugh. everything's been crayzay. anywho, we went & i was hoping it'll be a girl thing so we can talk girl talk & she brings Charles along... Dont get me wrong, charles is such a koo guy, but i was hoping for a girl's day out. Plus i wasnt really in the mood for watching two ppl do the smoochy hubby dubby thing... cause... u know... i might think of old times. :

All around it was pretty fun. i want to go at least twice a week for the wine festival. We're even planning on going to either the spain dinner or the italian dinner shit. We're hoping kobe or pau might show foor either one. XD then tammy & i are planning on tasting in mid may. should be funzo. :]

Earth Day.

I haven't posted in ages, so i'm gunna play catsup.

On Earth day I read The Lorax to my 5th & 6th graders.

After we all hugged a tree.

My ma & Sedonah met Sasha, Sedonah won a Jordan farmar autographed basketball & Sasha signed my poster! ^_^ Awesome times it was.

So I think it's safe to say she's a fan now... XD

It still kind of pissed me off when she took a pic w/Sasha cause of all the shit she used to say about him... I'm not jealous, believe me, I just wish it was me taking the pic... lol I'll let my sis have this one... but the next one is MINEZ. :]

well, this week it's no skoo. next week is no work.
i just wish it was at the same time like last year. This sucks cause i have crap in the afternoon so it's not technically a break till next week. ugh.

So my cousins from San Diego & I are making plans to go to Dsneyland next Wednesday. :] It'll be super wierd cause we've never done that, so i'm also pretty exited. We spent over 2 hours trying to figure out where to eat. My sister & I were down for Ariel's Grotto, despite the fact that its 45 bucks a person, we were down. lol My cousins read onine that it was disappointing, even though they've never been. : ugh. So then we suggested Blue Bayou. Then breakfast in the park... then we just decided on "anything around the park... maybe we can walk to McDonalds..." O_o ugh. i guess.

I want to take another mental health day at Disneyland. Hopefully I won't work tomorrow. :]
